I hope Smith does a better job of reading when/if he makes it to Beacon Hill than he did the other night when he tried to interpret that letter at the Alderman's Meeting.

That was embarrassing !!!

No wonder he won't debate Joe Hickey !!!!

Did you see their spots on ECTV? I think Smith did a great job. Hickey's piece made me dizzy with the panning in and out. Smith is a good guy like it or not. I hope he wins because I think he is not afraid to stand up for the people.

If that is the case,then why does Smith refuse to debate Joe Hickey ?

Why should Smith debate Hickey? This guy threw his party under the bus in the name of political expediency. A life-long Democrat - and he thinks the Democratic legislators, who ran as Democrats and went through the tough primaries will welcome him with open arms? I don't think so. Supported by Forestiere and Hanlon...so why should Smith go there? Smith has been running a solid campaign for nearly a year...while Hickey waited in the wings.

That's a good point Court. I hadn't really understood it that way until now.
