Because parents do not know how to tell the kids to make new friends and deal with the move.

Sad. But, probably true. Nice way to teach your kids about life. Not everything in life is going to be an easy change. But, that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a positive change for them. |

I actually have 1 student living in Everett who goes to my high school where I teach in Dorchester. It is totally because her friends go to the high school I teach at.
I am an average resident of Everett who would like to see more communication about anything and everything to do with Everett |

Finially alittle light shined on this subject reported in the Newspaper:
The Everett Police Department should be congratulated for its work in helping to avert a potentially dangerous situation earlier this month when police helped in the arrest of a teenage suspect who had threatened to take a gun into Everett High School and shoot a student there. Obviously, police have to take this type of threat very seriously under any circumstances, but ever since the incident at Columbine High School years ago, these threats carry even extra weight. It seems like we hear about actual incidents within schools with alarming regularity these days, and we are learning that some of our children today have a shocking disregard for the lives of others. We won't bother to wax on about what these types of incidents say about society at large in this day and age, because that isn't the point right now. Right now, the point is that our police acted quickly and with intelligence in helping to defuse a potential problem, and for that, we all need to be thankful. |

Nice! I am wondering when there will ever be a positive story in the paper about Everett.
