massdee, I wasn't aware of that. I have two that drive and have their own vehicles but they were both fortunate enough to be able to do for themselves when the time came for the purchase of their cars. (We bought the cars, but, they took it from there). |

That's exactly what we did for our 3. I also felt by them paying for their own insurance it was teaching them some responsibility. |

Hi gang, I have a silly question. Where are the overnight parking people? Aren't they supposed to help stem the problem with cars that do not have yellow stickers? I have not seen any tickets in my neighborhood at all and there are alot of cars with no stickers. |

They don't exist. As is standard, the mayor didn't know what he was talking about when he said they'd be on the job early January. |

Probably just another scam to bring more money into the budget director's office . . . |

Speaking of these YELLOW stickers that I knew nothing about until tonights meeting. They are telling me that I have to bring my registration and the sticker on my car now up to them to retrieve this new yellow one. Okay that is fine for me but, how do I do my husbands? He works all day and can't get up there and I am NOT taking his car for the day since it is simply too small for me to fit all the kids in. How is that going to work? I understand that this is so that anyone who owes money for tickets unpaid will have to pay them. But, can't they just send us law abiding citizens out our stickers and make the others have to retrieve theirs? It just isn't gonna work for us. NOT to mention it simply isn't fair. |

Thanks for the welcome Massdee!
I didn't want to be accused as a "lurker" anymore, made me feel dirty. I've just been a harmless guest for awhile....picking up news about our community that they don't want to print in the papers....

Welcome soxfan7! I (I'm sure we) hope that you'll participate in the conversation. We've become quite a "cyber-friendly" group out here, even when we disagree.

Lynda, Take his sticker & a copy of his registration. That's what they told me to do so he took a copy at work & it was a breeze. I also asked why they weren't mailing them like last year. They said not everyone wants one, it cost too much, and a lot came back because people moved. |

Welcome soxfan7 I too am a "LURKER" at times. I don't always have info to put on here, but sometimes I just like to see what others have to say. If I need to write, I sign on, if I don't, I don't sign on. There are at times alot of people reading but not signing on, I don't know what the problem with that is. But again welome, your a brave soul. LOL |

Thank you Fancy. I think "lurker" is too harsh of a word for the guests. Although I'm sure some of those guests are city employees that a lot in the forum talk about, I don't feel it right to group everyone in that category. Some I'm sure are just innocent citizens like myself who are just catching up with Everett news, and maybe for their own reasons (big brother finding who they are or just shy or quiet or not too computer savy) don't logon on. |

I found this subject matter to be true, after last nite and the incidents down at shooters we do need more police, word on the street today is that they are going to start doubling up the cars to save gas so we now have two men cars.. so does it mean less patrols on the street in car no's not bodies |
