Really, NSS . . . does this post serve any useful purpose? How do you know what her health status is? How do you know what Bowdridge's health status is? It has nothing to do with anything having to do with the job . . . and that's all any of us should be concerned about.

Certainly it is an open forum, but sometimes we get a little carried away. I've been guilty of it myself. It's fine to point out what was in the paper, but then your comments continued on what seemed like a personal attack.
It's obvious that the Independent is now going to be the Hanlon Gazette . . . and city employees are open to criticism as it relates to their jobs . . . but Lynda had made some very good points during the Bowdridge debate when it came to personal attacks -- criticism as to job performance is fair game, but making the discussion personal -- well -- I think we're better than that. |

If she has these new hips, why doesn't she have Her Own Placard? Why is she using her Dads? Don't they have pictures on them? I personally haven't seen this but, if it bothered her enough to put it in the paper I would hope that this placard is hers and not her dads and someone is just taking it out of content. |

She is breaking the law if she is using someone else’s placard; her father risks losing it if she is caught. Anyone driving with someone else’s placard must have the disabled person in the car with them. Speaking for myself, I had a temporary placard following surgery. Some people do not know they can get one for a short period of time until they recover enough mobility to feel better about walking.
Let's face it, under normal circumstances someone who hasn't completely recovered from surgery may be exceedingly apprehensive about walking across an icy parking lot (more so than any other time of year). I know I still am. That in no way excuses her from breaking the law, and she should be cited.
