Did anyone see the Mayor discussing the forensic audit?
He says he still doesn't have the report back from Melanson & Heath. Why does a document that the Mayor claims was to have no edits made to it take over four weeks to format and return to the city? The city has paid Melanson & Heath IN FULL for this although we don't have a final report?????
Question: Which Brain Storm Up There Paid For This? Do you go into a store and purchase something and leave without taking it?

You guys are funny.

Lynda, do you remember the departments the Mayor mentioned that were audited? I know he seemed to have a hard time naming them and only named four -- and I can only remember two that he mentioned -- the building and the purchasing departments. Do you remember what the other two were? The highway department, maybe?

I would like to know what the 5th one is, but watching Mayor Hanlon trying to remember these four was painful.

is it only me or has anyone else noticed that over the past couple of meetings whenever the Mayor or his Department Heads are being questioned they are becoming more and more agitated and arrogant with their answers. Makes you wonder, what are they afraid of? Oh, I know, being a one term administration, could that be it? I hope they are all out looking for jobs a year from now, that is the ones that aren't already retired and getting pension and social security checks.

I have noticed that, massdee. It seems counterproductive to their ultimate plan, if their plan is to get Hanlon re-elected. They've alienated so many people at this point, the last thing they need to do is to totally piss off whatever small segment of support they might have left. Even Mangan . . . a waterboy for the administration from the beginning . . . wasn't going along with the parking program as it currently stands.

The problem was/is that they simply will not answer the questions presented to them on the parking program. They looked at Cynthia and the other two women like they had alot of nerve to even ask them a question. Made me ill to see the way they were just pushed aside.

Refusing to answer where the money was coming from was what got to me. And the Mayor was right there. . . maybe they should have called on him to answer the question. And where was the auditor. Isn't it part of his responsibility to be available at City Council meetings?

One would think so Citizen.
I want to watch this meeting again due to there being just way TOOOOO much abuse taken in for one sitting.

God love ya, Lynda . . . I'm not sure I could sit through it again. My television barely survived destruction last night!

Lynda, you are really brave to try and make it through that meeting, again. I tried to watch the tape last night to see the parts I missed and ended up falling asleep. I think I would rather watch paint dry.

I could be really off base here, but as far as the audit goes, it looks to me that there is going to be nothing substantial in it. I think if it showed any wrong doing from the previous administration, the "Draft" would have been leaked out by now. I can't imagine "City Hall" keeping something that good quiet for over a month.
