another fire in everett, two street over from me chatham road

again are we sure we don't have someone setting these. I don't buy it there are two many fires

Ten people were left homeless and a firefighter was recovering after a home burned down in Everett, Mass., over the weekend.

The two-alarm blaze started on the second floor of a Chatham Road home Sunday.

Investigators believe the flames may have started in a bathroom fan and spread quickly through the walls.


The firefighter was expected to make a full recovery.

Damage to the home was expected to run to about $250,000.

ten people does anyone know 2 family or single?

I think i read Chief Butler is going to be at the Council meeting tonight. i am interested in hearing his take on all these fires. It is becoming quite nerve racking.

I have been wondering that myself Lynda, it's very scary now, it's like every three days there is a fire in the city

Actually Arthur I wanted to know if they were all together or if this was a multi Family home. I don't know of a owner that would take 10 in one apartment.

It's a 2-family dwelling/duplex....5 in each apartment, and caught pretty rapidly

Today on the 12:00 news channel 5 they said that there has been 20 fires in Everett since the start of this year. 7 have been ruled arson with 4 of the 7 fires have persons being charged for these arsons. That is all they said so far.

I know someone who lived in an apartment on the one on Florence St. and he told me that one was set.
