$11K to rent bleachers . . . for . . . what this early in the year? Don't they usually just rent them for the Thanksgiving game? |

They are renting? Not buying? Man, it must be nice to spend other people's hard earned cash... |

The 11K was for the bleachers last year. The city splits the cost with the school dept. This has been going on for about 10 years, where has everyone been ?
Same question comes up every year--why don't we just buy them ? Same question will be asked again next year unless the new Stadium they are talking about is started.
The field down there is in HORRIBLE shape--surprised more kids don't get hurt on that field.
Go down and take a walk on it some day you will be amazed they play on it . |

And the point that everyone makes each year - is why the city budget is paying anything at all for them. That expense should be budgeted in - and that's that. |

A seedy-looking man was sitting in the first row at a town meeting, heckling the mayor as he delivered a lengthy speech. Finally the mayor pointed to the heckler and said, "Will that gentleman who differs with me please stand up and tell the audience what he has ever done for the good of the city?" "Well, Mr. Mayor," the man said in a firm voice. "I voted against you in the last election." |

Good for him! That's funny.
The Mayor clearly has never learned the value of making friends and influencing people in a positive way. |

Why budget them in--just buy them !
Ten years X $11,000 = $110,000 AND WE HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. |

OOPS----I made a mistake, the $11,000 should actually be $22,000 since the Schools and City pay half each.
Ten years X $22,000 = $220,000 and still nothing to show for it. |
