Watch it end up being a "Big Bust." I have to go up to Milford, New Hampshire right now, so I hope I make it back in time to see the meeting. I hate to have to wait until 11PM to catch the tape. Talk to you guys later.

Well I have gotten a few replies from our city officials. It seems most of them are all for paying the school committee. When did they have that meeting to let the taxpayers weigh in on this one? I must have been out of town@@

The sad fact is, Sally . . . they don't have to hold a public hearing on this. They should, but they're not obligated to do it. Maybe people should show up at the meeting tonight and make a ruckus . . .

I wish I could, but I have commitments at home . . . I'll certainly be watching, though, and I've made my feelings known to a number of elected officials . . .

Will you be able to make it, SS?

I also thought Mr Henderson was arrogant. If you figure it out, I think that 70,000. would be multiplied by 4, then add all the benefits to that the figure is going to be quite high.

I thought $70K sounded a little low for seven new hires . . . that's only $10K per new hire. No one is going to do that job for $10K a year . . .

Are these supposed to be full time positions? Because look at the numbers, $70K for 7 full time employees (40 hours/week) -- $10K per person -- only brings them out to about $4.80/hour; even if it's part-time, at 20 hours/week (in order to qualify them for benefits), it's still only roughly 9 bucks an hour. Who's going to do that job for that kind of money?

So what happened with item # 11
I missed the beginning of the meeting. I saw mangan come in and try to bring it back and it was denied.
