I missed the first half hour of the meeting. Was the forensic audit brought up?

When I tuned in Jason was questioning Mr. Sheehan. From what I saw, Mr Sheehan seemed less arrogant and antagonistic toward the BOA than he did toward the Common Council last week.

I'll have to watch that one again. I thought he was still a bit smug towards the questions, especially when Jason Marcus was asking.

I agree Jason Marcus was just looking for answers to his questions and he was dancing around them.

Okay let's see now:
11. A0120-07 Order/s/Alderman Joseph McGonagle, as President
To appropriate the amount of $30,000.00 from the Budgetary Fund Balance to the Facilities Maintenance Telephone Account as there have been unexpected increases in phone usage.
All that tells me is that City Hall is still on a land line instead of a Cable hook-up for the internet.
And Arthur answer to your question... No I don't see it either. Should we be surprised?

I'm not surprised, see item # 32, I'm sure that is a put up job to try and take some heat off the Administration and then they won't need to go into Executive Session. I figure they are trying to dig themselves out, if they read the blogs, (which I'm sure some in city hall do)they know people are not happy about this Exec. Session thing. Just my thoughts on it.

I doubt there will be any response to #32 tonight. I believe Hanlon is in Florida on yet another vacation.

I missed almost the entire meeting. I was putting the grandkids to bed, I did hear from the other room, Joe saying something about something being against Mass State Laws. What was he talking about. Will it be worth my while to stay up and watch the tape?

oh massdee I would of let the kids stay up it was the BEST meeting the ALDERMAN has ever had, I think they finally woke up but, is it because hanlon is away? I think Joe was saying this to the treasure he paid off some bill without the Alderman's approval always thought you had to get permission to paid bills? (but who am just a tax payer who is trying to sell my home.) Barry Doyle requested money for overtime, and his phone bill that is way out of reach cause his employees screwed him and the taxpayer on their phone bill. Overtime account just a joke you mean to tell me that the alderman and the council don't realize that city hall is open on saturdays with their private meetings (come on the city knows) Can't wait for the advocate on thursday nite to come out.

I would of loved to have kept them up but they are only 2 and 3, with no nap. I would have had no peace and hubby wanted to watch "24" without being interrupted by the grandkids. Then I tried to stay awake for the tape, and fell asleep just after the joint convention. So, missed that, too. Now I just turned the TV on going to see if I can catch it now.

Did I hear them say the mayor is away, again?

It looks like all the department heads are coming to city government looking for more money. What happened to the "true budget?"

I think last nights Aldermen meeting was a sneak preview of what is in store for the budget hearings. It also appeared to me, that many of the members of the BOA were of the same mind set about the overspending of this years budget. The next few months are going to be very interesting.
