arthur, are you sure he is still a Hanlon supporter? A mayorial candidate is the one that told me Mavillio is not a FFF fan. I don't know anything about him, really. |

It's not the crimes that the Superintendent committed that are being used against Hanlon, Louie. It's the fact that he received a piece of correspondence from the Inspector General's office and refused to do anything with it, including acknowledge it or contact the Chairman of the School Committee to inquire what action would be taken on their part. That's the issue. Everyone knows, as is frequently said by Hanlon's supporters, that the Mayor has no control over what happens to the Superintendent, but he is a non-voting member of the School Committee. Doesn't he have a responsibility to at least inquire into how this letter was going to be addressed by them? |

Exactly right, Citizen. When one is a leader, CCLou, one is expected to lead...not acquiece by silence. That Mayor Hanlon received such a disturbing letter, and then chose to ignore it - speaks volumes about him as a mayor and as a human being. If one really cares about a community, how does one stay silent? Shouldn't Mayor Hanlon, at the very least, sent Mr. Alconada a letter, indicating his concern and asking what Mr. Alconada's intentions were? Or why not send the letter to the city council as a cc? These actions would have been far more preferable to the mayor ignoring the letter...which is what he did. He did us all a huge disservice in doing so. |

I am not buying it and there are plenty of other people that are not buying it either.
BECAUSE NONE OF US KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT THE LETTER UNTIL IT WAS SENT TO THE CURRENT MAYOR AND IGNORED! |

Some one screaming and looking for trouble again? Lesson, everyone should read in Safe Haven, CK and MM1 really had their own opinions, opposite of each other, but handled themselves with the utmost respect of each other. I applaud both of you. |

Thanks, Obvious, but I can't take credit for that. That was MM1 and Court . . . I agree, they presented an excellent example of graceful debating skills.

Knowing Lynda as we do, I don't think she meant to offend, maybe her caps lock was stuck and she didn't realize. |
