I was watching the replay of the Everett/Cambridge game on ECTV15 on Thursday and towards the end of the game the announcers had Freddy in the booth with them and they were asking him about Tuesday's playoff game which was originally to be played in Brockton but has been moved to Malden Catholic, Freddy said he had made a bunch of phone calls to move the game and the first phone call he made was to Joe O'Donnell, i know that Freddy and Joe are tight and i have always been curious as to how this became that these two are such good friends. Joe is an amazing guy with his Joey Fund and fighting Cistic Fibrosis, i just wonder how Freddy Bulger managed to become part of his inner circle.

Joe O'Donnell is one of those big generous guys who can't do enough for the old home town and Fred preys on that. Why Joe would even take Fred's phone call, when Fred isn't fit to polish Joe's shoes, is beyond me.

Yeah i know that is what i figured, i just thought that maybe there was something else behind it, i have met Joe a couple of times and ill tell you, by talking to him you would never know he is a billionaire. He reminds me of Bob Kraft just a solid guy who does the right thing and most importantly never forgot where he came from.

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant to read these posts about Joe O'Donnell - but I'm glad to see that he's not judged by his "associates" - he is one of the nicest most genuine gentlemen I have ever met, he has always been polite and courteous, and you're right, you would never know from meeting him that he is the Joe O'Donnell that people praise for his generosity - he's just a regular "Joe". Thanks for spreading the word on him, it's a priviledge to know someone like him!

News Flash! According to today's Herald, the game with Xaverian will be played in Brockton, and NOT Malden Catholic as previously reported.

Is this the "I love Joe O'Donnell" forum or the "I hate Freddie" forum?

Just checking....

I may be falling in love with Joe O'Donnell myself. He appears to be H1ghly recommended by you people.

I know, Lisa; I get a lot of Everett news from the Malden Evening News, but the MIAA website has the playoff listings and Everett is indeed playing Xaverian at Brockton. You must be logged in to see this link.

Hi H1

I hope you start to feel better Lisa.

By the way, what radio station is playing the game?

Michael
