You need to realize their "cheap shots" are due to total frustration and aren’t really directed at you. You just happen to be the person directly in the line of fire!
It's kind of like a toothache. When you first get it, you call the dentist and schedule your appointment around your workday & his availability. At 2 a.m., you’re beginning to regret that decision and by the next morning you’re heading to the dentist as soon as possible. The he** with work or schedules, you need the pain to go away. The pain isn’t any worse than it was……….you’ve just had it too long.

I must update on the church, last nite for the first time it was so quite you could hear a pin drop in my neighborhood.
No cars easy access to both webster and ellsworth street.
We will have to see what happens tonite. And before anyone posts I know it's a long weekend so maybe that is why. |

Excellent new, makemelaugh. That sounds like progress, and I hope it keeps up.

Despite what you may think I'm happy for makemelaugh, donice and any others in this area if you have seen an improvement. Nobody should need to live with constant aggravation. I think we can all agree on that. My previous position was based on what I heard from a couple of friends last year concerning this same issue. It was never a personal attack on my part twords the affected group. Perhaps it is worse this year and I should have taken the word of some who live around this area. Live and learn. |

update: what a nightmare last nite with the church, the music, the loud cars you couldn't move up or down the streets or broadway, cars parked, I have never seen anything like it. The best part though lights went out around 10 pm last night and quite came back for about an hour. I can't wait to meet with the owners of the church. I only wish Hanlon will close down the city hall parking lot over the weekend. Maybe I am asking too much but, I think it's the only way to send a message for now. |

I was thinking of you last night and wondering how it was going.
Meet with the owners of the church? Is something scheduled that will perhaps bring some relief to your neighborhood? |

Did you call the police? Perhaps the real way to deal with the problem is to close the parking lot at night, and let the church members "deal with it." It will push the problem out on Broadway to some degree - and then into the neighborhood. That location was never right for an "all-night" church anyway. |

I believe they have to appear before the next council meeting next week. the police were busy last nite with the black out in the city. Manhole fire down at popejohn some sections lost power we were one of them |

Since it's a church, you would think they would have the decency to be aware of their neighbors. |

"Love thy neighbor" is not a message that one gets with these folks. |

I have to agree with makemelaugh what a disater last nite on webster st. I witness cars going in the do not enter way last nite causing two accidents in the city hall parking lot. Not major ones but enough to take someones bumpers off the car. I have to agree to close that parking lot these people have no respect for the signs or law. |

I don't want to sound mean but there is always the possibility that some of the offenders cannot read our traffic signs. |

They're in this country now and the language is English. If they can't read the signs, it's time they learned! |
