Request a deal? I think we should - by all means. Who knew that Walking Eagle was not only computer literate, but savvy enough to have the whole "operation" put online! You know, I probably should have put this under "The Brazen and the Bullheaded"

Court, where DO you find this stuff?????

Okay . . . what kind of deal shall we request????? We could have some fun with this, couldn't we? I mean . . . Johnny Boy seems all too willing to make deals with certain "influential persons." I'd certainly put the Board Buddies in that category!

My dear Citizen - it's just a "gift," if you will. Now, what deal shall we request? A deal involves some "give and take," so - I think we should request:

1. A working budget that makes financial good sense
2. fiscal austerity
3. Competent department heads and workers
4. Accountabilty for Foresteire (take a stand, man - don't be a coward)
5. A round of applause and some respect for Larry DeCoste, the poor, beleaguered auditor
6. A list of all pending lawsuits (we have to know what we're in for!)
7. A speedy retirement for Walking Eagle in Vermont.
8. Job description for Ravanesi
9. (Board friends - please fill in the blanks)

And in return, we will try to forget that this very bad term in office ever happened.

Well . . . I'd say job elimination for Ravanesi, along with a few other double and triple dippers. Seriously . . . how many times can these people walk up to feed at the public trough?

I'd say an apology to the people hurt in the "forensic audit."

I don't always get the Advocate; it's too hard to find sometimes. Anyone out there seen it yet?

As for as your "gift"....as they said in the Lord of the Rings parody on Sat Night Live, "your damn right it's a gift!"

(Of course they were refering to something else.)

Thank you, Emile - I have been blessed with a skill or two.

I'd like to get a copy of the budget and do a little slash and burn here on the Board.

Perhaps we can get Michael to post a copy, and we can all make recommendations.
