My point is... You say that other communities have accepted his proposals due to what else comes in the package. If he already owns this land, will he do as he pleases with it with or without the cities consent? If so, what is the point of all of this? |

No, I don't think that could happen. He usually presents a package that is mostly enticing and (using Everett as a possible example) throws something in there like a waste facility, and tells city government it is all or nothing. It's a gamble but a lot of times it goes Thibeault's way. Take a look at what he has done in Newburyport. |

This is why the City needs to have debates, so that we the voters could ask questions continually until all our wonders are validated with answers. Well massdee I do have to go to work now so I will check in later. Have a great afternoon :) |

Well I am a Carlo supporter and I can tell you I dispute that he is planning a waste facility on lower Broadway. He does not have that power. And if he wants to be a disgraced one term Mayor then his support of such a facility would get him out of office ASAP. He is not a stupid guy and he knows the people of this city would never support such a thing.

No, that is not Mr. DeCoste. If you scroll down the pictures you will see a better view of this gentleman sitting at a table with a blue jacket on.
As far as the prop 2.5 levy goes, numbers don't lie. If Hanlon isn't able to get funds transfered from stabilization and rainy day funds, the budget will be over the levy limit. |

I too am leaning solely toward Carlo. Joe has not proved to me he could do the job at hand. He appears to be feuding with Hanlon way too much. Hanlon well, do I need to say anything? |

After Joe's ads in today's Leader-Herald, the Joe-Carlo feud might be hotter than the Joe-Hanlon feud. |

Joe and his people have been down at that rotary every morning. I see the McGonagle people setting up around 6 AM, each morning. So, it would appear the DeMaria people wanted the spot and were trying to muscle their way in. |

Oh, I agree, Joe has been at the rotary every morning with his supporters. This was the first time Carlo has been there, in the mornings anyway. It was a little strange that they were all mixed in together and not all DeMaria supporters on one side and McGonagle on the other. It was confusing. Carlo and Joe were not next to each other and it did not appear to be a friendly atmosphere. |

I can't imagine Carlo being too happy with the Thibeault invitation in the political ad in the paper today. At least now everyone knows it's true Thibeault ran that fund raiser. It erases that doubt. I'm not bashing anyone, just stating fact. |

But it does not mean he is getting a dump. I know you did not say that, I am just making a point. I knew he threw the fundraiser, but that does not mean he just gets what he wants in this city. That is up to the councillors and aldermen.

Because politicians always "mean what they say." I remember the last guy running on a hiring freeze and honesty and integrity. |

A couple of corrections....
First....Carlo and his supporters have spent mornings at the rotary 5 times in the past 2 weeks. When they aren't there, they are at 1 of a half dozen other locations in the city.
Second....squash any thought of a Joe-Carlo feud. That is the exact opposite of anything Carlo is trying to accomplish. Everett has had that for 10 years. The only things that come from it are leaders that aren't focused on their jobs and empty acres with no tax revenue |

If Thibeault was not promised anything why would he support Carlo or get involved in this election? |
