Todays paper has a list of all who filed papers. It appears Kay Hicks is running for the CC & BOA. I thought they had agreed not to do that?
I see Marchese, Napolitano, Raneiri, & Parris Gregory are all interested in coming back. I'm going to vote for every new person I can. We definitely need some new blood up there!

| I love Hicks. I don't know her personally but I love listening to her speak and how when she knows she is right she won't let it go. A true woman who follows her beliefs. |

Well jerk is a mean thing to say. Her voice is irritating. And even my kids count how many times she says yes. She says it all the time. And she does not listen to people when they talk to her. It just goes over her head.

| Kay reminds me of a Gilda Radner character on Saturday Night Live. The character is editorializing about "violins on television" - and how she doesn't understand why people are against violins on television - because violins on television are a good thing. Midway through her rant, Jane Curtin leans over and says, "it's VIOLENCE on television - not violins!" And the character says, "never mind!" |

I'm sorry Lynda, but Hicks drives me nuts, also. I have been told that no mater where you live in the city if you go to her with an issue she will try and get something done. They probably do it just so they don't have to listen to her but it gets done. LOL Whatever it takes I guess.
Does anyone know anything about Salvatore Sachetta running for Alderman Ward 6? If it was just between Hicks and Faia, I would be voting for Hicks. I would never vote for Foresteire's nephew. |

What can I say Sally? I'm mean.
I personally would prefer that all our representatives have a brain. Unfortunately, that's not a reality but I'm hoping. I'm thankful every Monday night that the CC & BOA meetings can't be viewed outside of the city. It's just too embarrassing to watch so many of them making fools of themselves. |

Is this really the kind of person you want representing you? Someone who doesn't listen but cracks you up? Someone who doesn't understand what's being said?
I'm sorry, I think that's sad. Maybe that's why we're so poorly represented. Too many votes are based on entertainment value instead of ability. |

| justme I never said that I would vote for her, just that I love listening to her speak at the meetings. She isn't in my ward so I didn't put her on Council to begin with. As far as a Alderman's spot, I wouldn't go there. |
