Are city workers salaries published, DWW, Fire Dept, Police, etc. I'm doing a comparison for a paper I'm writing and can't find any information on overall salaries, dept heads vs staff, chief vs patrolman or FF for Everett. Any help would be great

I do not believe so. You might want to try going to the cities web site and sending an email and ask for the info you want. |

And how awful, massdee,Lynda did you take notice of the map and all the hazardous waste spots that were on there? Why is that? What kind of hazardous waste are they referring to? |

I am still laughing over this one (although it is quite sad) Average household size: This city: 2.5 people That may be (and it is probably still too low) per room.

Where I live there is 25 people crammed into a three room apartment and they spend all of their time out on the front lawn cooking on a hibachi. From about 7:AM till Midnight. I want to know what they are going to do come winter and it is cold. There are a lot of small children in their group. |

Have you contacted Code Enforcement? Situations like that are what they're supposed to be resolving. |

Numerous times because there is crap all over the place and my street looks like the hood due to this. They do come down issue citations to the landlord, the landlord contacts them, things are cleaned up and quiet for about a day than they are back at it. I don't think that anyone has actually checked into the number of residence in the apartment though. The landlord has been paying some hefty fines to the city that I know. she must be getting some serious rent from that crew for them to have not been evicted at this point. |

As I understand it, the eviction process can be quite lengthy and difficult. Add children to the equation and it gets worse. The owner may very well be trying to get an eviction approved but I have no idea how you could find that information. (short of asking)
The next time you call about the trash, you may also want to mention the number of residents at that location. It can't hurt, and it may help. |

Not only is the eviction process lengthy, it can also be very expensive for the home owner.
justme, you are so right, add children to the mix, and it gets that much more difficult. |

I have spoken to the owner many times and I was informed that she is doing everything she can to get them to follow rules and keep their trash to themselves than, she turned around and rented one of the newly vacant (only enough time for her to have it fumigated) apartments out to the friends of those existing tenants! She is the definition of a SLUMLORD. |

Then she deserves the fines and the grief she gets from Code Enforcement. Don't give up............... keep making those calls! |
