I don't believe for ONE SECOND that Joe or George else used reverse 911. Apart from the fact that the penalties for inappropriate use are swift and severe....if there's anything I know about the Speaker is that he would never, ever, misuse public safety resources. There are telephone services that are able to make these calls and it's just a reckless disregard for the truth for Taylor to come on the forum and spew these lies.
Once again Taylor - put up or shut up. Put up the proof or your crap is coming down.
Sally - if you want to believe a lie - then go ahead. Help tarnish the image of a devoted civil servant. |

Keverian had full access to reverse 911 from his office for “announcements” That was a power he choose to abuse.
Now, that’s my “put up or shut up” You can lie all you want and try and make things look like they are not. Freddy, you are so insulting to anyone that has a different opinion of you and if they do, they always have to “prove it” Check it out yourself or drive your Mini to Winthrop and take a seat on their common council where you belong.

Hi Tetris, Good to see you. I, too, have refrained from commenting on much of the election fallout. I am willing to wait and see how things go with the new administration. I hope Carlo makes smart decisions that move our city forward.
As for Mr Keverian, there is a very nice letter in today's Leader Herald by a Mr Lou DiSanto. I think it sums up Mr Keverian nicely. I, also believe the issue could have been handled in a much more respectful manner. It is truly a shame to lose a person at city hall with Mr Keverian's experience and knowledge. Maybe, Carlo will rethink this decision by Mr Hanlon and offer to bring Mr Keverian back on board. That would be a good first step in reuniting the city. Just my opinion. |

I agree. I thought the same thing. If Carlo would bring him back it would show a move in the right direction. That as a leader he is
a big enough person to forgive & forget and do what is best for the city.
On a sad note, I heard that Taylor aka Vatrano,will be offered a position with the school department. I think that woman has done enough damage in this city. I wish she would go away and never be heard from again. |

| If it is truly about uniting the city and having qualified department heads, not political hacks, then the decision should be an easy one. Mr Keverian is an asset to City Hall. |

| Wanda Bee, I think it will be a disgrace to this city if Hanlon, Vetrano, Sheehan, Ravenisi, Doyle and a few others are offered any kind of positions in the new administration, or for that matter in any department, including the schools. Hanlon lost in the primary because the people wanted change due to this group being so unqualified. I don't think it will be a smart move to bring any of them back. Let's all hope Carlo has better advisers than Hanlon did. |

Taylor, if that was the truth, then why didn't Hanlon tell the Boston Globe that when he was asked why George was fired? Because it wasn't true - and it would have opened a hell of a lawsuit if he had.
And Sally - I may need to chill, but you did say that Taylor "had a point" and you specifically referenced the reverse 911 calls. |

| Can we all just step back and take a look at the past two administrations. Each have had unqualified people. If you recall an entire department was created for a building inspector who failed the license test 3 times. This administration has also had it's share of unqualified. Our only hope is that the new administration will have enough forsight to make "qualified changes." Massdee I believe that at least one of the Department Heads you mentioned had his hands tied and had prior administration appointees making his job much harder than it should have been. Lastly let us not forget that the the old administration tried to fire Mr. Speaker also. Apparently there are some underlying issues that both administrations saw as potential problems. |

| I am assuming you are talking about Mr Sheehan. I disagree with you. I think he is highly unqualified. I will never forget his arrogance when he was being questioned at a council meeting about the extremely poor job that was done with a snow storm last winter. He may be a very nice person, I don't know him, but he certainly showed he didn't have the experience to be running his department. Just my opinion. |

| I can tell you, unequivocally, that Mr Keverian did not use the Reverse 911 system to make political phone calls for McGonagle. I think it is disgusting that people make these stories up and try to tarnish such a well respected gentleman. |
