| From where I sit, one of the Hanlon administrations biggest problems was that they didn't know how to let go of their ill feelings towards the Ragucci administration. If they had exerted as much energy into running the city, we would all be better off today, and he might still have been Mayor. Just my opinion. |

I agree, massdee.
It was always a hate campaign towards Ragucci since David bested John McCarthy.
Even after Hanlon won, he couldn't stop throwing David under the bus. Hanlon seemed consumed by his dislike of Ragucci.
The Hanlon people sank David's chance of being city manager of Winthrop by a nasty letter writing campaign directed to the Winthrop city council. They also tried it with Stoneham, but it wasn't successful.
It was pathetic and childish display of hatred.

| One of my real fears with Carlo is that he owes so many people that helped him get elected. I know all mayors do. It's just some of the people Carlo is indebted to that makes me worry, Thibeault and Hanlon, just to name two. I only hope he will keep the best interest of Everett in mind when he is being persuaded to give favors out to these two. |
