The city council doesn't have an equipment line item in their budget so they are putting it in the closest thing that they have to one. Actually, they should have tried to get the money for this out of Comcast during the last contract negotiation (it's been a problem for a while) but, as I rememeber, that contract got done without them even knowing about it.

#13 on tonight's agenda is Joe Hickey again about street sweeping. He already got shot down once but just won't quit. I think we all agree that the towing is difficult (and expensive) to deal with when someone forgets or runs into a problem however, the offset is our streets are finally clean!

I think the streets being cleaner are great. I wish the city was doing it and the taxpayers were not paying a private contractor, and I think Joe Hickey should be focusing more on that then trying to stop the towing.

In the past, there has a been a car parked in front of my house, the sweeper goes around it and I had more dirt a grime in front of my house than before the sweeper came. I am a taxpayer and that was not fair. I will say since street sweeping has commenced this year, I have not had that problem and that’s why it is essential for people to follow the rules and the towing is part of the rules.

I would imagine by this point the towing has cut way down. If Hickey were to get his way on this, what would happen about all those people who have already been tagged and towed? It's one thing to stop the towing for next year at the end of street sweeping in November but I don't think it would be quite fair to do it in the middle of the program. Just my opinion.

I hate to keep harping on this, but Lorri Bruno runs a terrible meeting.

Item #11 - Item belonged in committee until the signage was agreed upon.

Item #13 - I believe this item had to be on the agenda to be disposed of since it was tabled two months ago. Hickey had to have his say though.

Item #14 - The worksheet doesn't get read. Period.

Item #17 - How do you vote against referring this to the mayor without speaking on why? I don't get it.

Bruno - Thank God for short meetings. Her members still have to make sure that she running the meeting correctly. What's wrong with "one vote be cast..."? Mr. Marchant is losing it too. Did Joe King go sit in the audience for a while? Sounds like no meetings in July. In my opinion, both boards need to have at least one meeting every month.

I wasn't surprised Billy Cardello voted against Item #17 but I was really surprised that Cynthia Sarnie voted against it. Like Tetris said, especially without giving any reason. If Wood Waste is to move down to lower Broadway, that is Ms Sarnie's ward. Wouldn't one think Ms Sarnie would want her constituents to be able to be informed before this relocation ever takes place. I wish she had explained her vote. I am disappointed with her tonight and I am usually well satisfied with her work on the CC.

I missed the meeting but hope to catch it again. Were they the only two that voted against it? I would like to hear an explanation from Cynthia too. Billy Cardello is and always was a puppet. He feeds out the biggest BS from anyone so I am not surprised at all. Cynthia however, must explain, because she does not understand the magnitude of people that have the right to know and is highly against this. She needs to get out of her Ward and just walk down Ferry or wherever. People are talking about this everywhere and are against it. I don’t buy the BS from the Mayor either. He tells people what they want to hear, to get what he wants, and they all buy into it. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Yes, they were the only two to vote against it. The mayor was not at the meeting, he was at EHS for the students that are graduating. Simonelli got up, said his piece, no one else said a word and they took the vote.

Well, at least the majority voted correctly. Now let’s see if they follow the oath they took for the people and who will be the ones to give their oath to Thibeault, who is damaging people’s health for money. Makes you wonder…………

I thought that it was a common courtesy and standard pratice for brother and sister city council members to generally allow any piece to be referred out. To not provide any reason for not doing so, just allows speculation to begin.

As far as Billy Cardello goes, his answer to emails on this issue is, ", it's not Everett, it's Boston," Then when you write back to him and inform him exactly what and where you are talking about, you never hear from him again. That is why I am not surprised he voted against sending this to the Mayor.

I will say one thing to his credit, he is the only elected official, CC or BOA, with an email address that responded to my emails. Pretty disgusting, in my book.

NO meeting in July that is out rages so when August comes around the meeting will last over three hours I don't think Bruno can handle a long meeting, although, she is getting better. I don't want to be her it seems harder than it looks, I missed the meeting so I am trying to understand what everyone out here is talking about.

I received that same e-mail from Billy Cardello although I "clearly" stated in my very first sentence....."I am writing to you today about a concern with Woodwaste of Boston, owned by William Thibeault" and the entire response I got back from Billy Cardello was:

"That is not Everett, it's Boston. We fought it and lost"
Does he think we are stupid or he just did not read the e-mail at all. I wrote back and said I am not speaking of Boston Sludge, I am speaking of William Thibeault of Woodwaste of Boston, currently located on Boston Street and he NEVER wrote back. Now, he voted NO on referring an item to the Mayor about constituents concerns? Call Capital One....what's in Billy Cardello's pocket??? Cynthia.....she's my ward and already this morning I have heard from a few people that said "what is wrong with her" so I don't think she's running next year or she fell for the batted eyelashes and a favor. She saw the favor for Mike Mangan. The oath they took was for the people, not corporate pigs that care less about the neighbors health and the environment (and this is all proven fact) and they did not take an oath for what's in it for them.
