I hope we hear something soon on the V.S.O. How long has it been since Mr Rice was let go? How long before the state would get involved since we don't have a full time V.S.O.? |

I complained about this not being done sometime ago. Guess it has been done since January but never publicized until now. Saw it on the city web earlier this week as well. Now if we can only get to some of the appointments to boards that are overdue. |

I have a quetion for the calendar on NO. 35 why would Joe Hickey want to stop the towing, ah lets see he was tagged and towed on street sweeping day maybe, it's working the city is cleaner so why stop put it in committee when the signs are posted. I just don't understand this city sometimes this man wanted people to shovel their sidewalks and because he was towed he nows want to put this item in committee grow up and remember to move your car..Steve Simonelli don't let this happen this is the best that has come out of the city. |

Well, well, well well....what can I say? All I can say about Item#30 is...watch. Watch VERY carefully who it is that gets these positions. You heard it here...they will not ALL be firefighter positions. Count on it. The ones that are, watch them too. This has been in the making for quite a while even before the inauguration. |

I heard that one of the names on the list, #8 I believe, is from a vendor that the city does business with. Is this list available to the public? I would love to see it published. |

This is some of your answers. I am sure there are more apples in the pie. I also recall Mayor Hanlon being grilled on the fact he hired more fire and police. If the added positions a year ago were such crisis, how can this be justified?
Last BOA meeting they change the ordinance to have the Mayor be the sole hirer of the fire fighters and used the Fire Commisioners as justification for that and the Board of Alderman fell for it! Now, next meeting we all of a sudden are in need of hiring 8 fire fighters (with the exception of one...who just may be too old to be a fire fighter but was a BIG campaign supporter of Demaria and wants a pension from the city) and his buddy too. This is what Carlo ran his campaign on!!!! He said Joe McGonagle was going to re-hire all the Ragucci people for their pensions and he's doing the exact same thing!!!! Everything that has been going on since January has been TRULY DISGUSTING!!!! Come on people lets WAKE UP and smell the coffee!!
Another slap to the taxpayers! |

I haven't seen the Advocate in any stores in a couple of weeks. I'm probably too late. Here's their website but I'm not sure how updated it is.

What is the other position that the mayor referred to that Mr. Carlisle will be taking on in addition to budget director?
Items 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 8 - What's up with Cornellio voting no on these. Although it didn't matter, I'm sure the mayor won't be thrilled about it.
Item #12 - I can't believe that anyone should be asked to vote on a new ordinance without seeing the ordinance first. But can't we get right to the point?
Item #16 - Disappointed that this item died without sharing the reason why with the viewing public. Item #30 - ???
Item #39 - In one form or another, this issue has showed up on both the BOA and the CC agendas since the first of the year. When is someone going to take ownership of it?
First day of street sweeping on my street today. No tickets, no towing. Could have made a bundle.
They really need to change the rules so that items can't be taken out of order on the agenda unless there is someone in attendance to appear on them or it really makes sense to take items collectively.
Sorry, but Lori Bruno seems to be in over her head as president. |
