I am speechless if this is true. I was never happy how this was handled but had hope that they would rectify it after reading that Boston Globe article quoted by Erin Deveney. I thought it would be a matter of days/weeks at the most, but after all the flack the Mayor got over the Walter Rice issue, I thought he learned his lesson about making this appointment a political appointment. Again, if true, then I strongly believe that article in the Independent was a set up to get the stage set.

Hi I am Millie and I don't know why anyone would LIE on the Forum and say that my son let the cat out of the bag. First of all there is no cat nor is there a bag to let the cat out of. It is 6:53pm on Friday and I have not heard that the Mayor has chosen anyone. I certainly know that I have not been notified one way or the other. I just questioned my son and he is not privy to that information either.
This is my first time on any type of Blog and I do hope that I am doing this correctly so that all concerned can hear this from me.
If anyone has any questions or concerns I invite them to call me.
My cell phone number is listed on the City web site. I don't like rumors and I don't particularly care for blogs, but I do care about my son and his reputation. Please leave him out of it as he does not have any information regarding this issue, in fact the bloggers seem to have more information than anyone else.
I received three phone calls today notifying me that someone was accusing my son of this on this forum and that is why I am taking the time to respond to it.

If at any time, you happen to read or hear about mis-information on this message board, please feel free to add your input. The one common thread here at the Forum is that we all care about Everett.

| I have never seen a negative post from Arthur so I dont know why everyone is quick to say it's lies but I will wait and see the decision from the Mayor. |

come on....Millie came on and said that what Arthur posted was incorrect.
Then Massdee thanked her and asked her to come on the forum again to clear up any misinformation she see's here. So....Massdee if you believe her enough to invite her back then you must agree that Arthur was wrong for posting the lie that he did right? |

| You know I understand that just wondering thinks I am lying and so bid, but this information came from her son on Thursday morning in my store that I own in Glendale Square he is the meter maid down this end. After talking to a person this afternoon I see that he has issues and they are well aware of this, with that being said I will say what I said in the above post.. He should do his job and stop telling everyone in the Glendale square area who is mother is I would of never know who he was until he made a statement in my store. |

He's not an elected official, but he's being paid with public funds which should make it a legitimate question.
I asked because I've heard he does a pretty poor job of earning that money which doesn't make me happy. Add that to the rumor that his mother will be the new VSO and I don't much like how it's looking. We end up with the family living off the city............... I've never been too impressed with her on the council. Will we get what we pay for from her? More importantly, will the Vets? |
