They could have tore up the P&S and in the same time, Thibeault gets less leverage in the city.
If you packaged that out today, they would have at least received three million. That was the most dramatic spin from Peter Napolitano. He has no idea what they could have received for that property.....if it is so "prime" like they keep saying, another contractor would have scooped that up in a minute.

I was one who wanted to see this particular chapter come to an end. I only hope that is was done correctly. The rumor I keep hearing is Woody's Tire has filed another law suit. If this is true, after all the costs, such as a law suit and paying Harley Davidson for their part of Fourth Street, what is going to be left from the money?
Why does everything end up in a conflict when it has anything to do with Mr Thibeault? |

I can give you the "honest answer" to that question Massdee however, you would end up having to delete it...... |

The rumors are flying on who will be appointed to fill Ms Deveney's vacancy. One rumor I heard is that the Mayor is going to hire another Chief of Staff at the $90K salary. Another rumor, he will not be hiring a Chief of Staff but an executive secretary instead, at a lesser salary. Has anyone else heard anything? Any names? |

Names tossed around in the rumor mill is a former Council member.
I hear if he does not accept it's someone from a former administration and was a campaign manager for an opponent in the last election, at a significant lower salary. |

Why don't you just spit those names right out so the rest of us (non insiders) know what the heck is going on? |

I can make a guess, former campaign manager, Carol Ragucci.
Former Council member, need a little more info. The name that comes into mind is Dave Rav. |

Dave Rav is wrong maybe that will be his third choice. The names I heard were Colin Kelly and Carole Ragucci. |

Why would Carlo even consider Carol Ragucci after all the stuff he had to say about the Ragucci people during the last election? |

Carole would be an excellent choice. She kept things moving in city hall while Ragucci was there and did a very good job. She's a PITA but that's what makes her good at what she does...........
I think Rav would be a big mistake. He's not very well liked and is well known for looking out exclusively for himself. Anyone else takes a distant second. He tried to jump from the Hanlon camp to Carlo when it became clear Hanlon wasn't going to make it and Carlo didn't buy it. I hope he's not so desperate now that he changes his mind.
Colin doesn't live in the city anymore and has a good job. I can't see him giving up a steady paycheck for a position that's likely only going to last through 2009. |

I never thought I'd hear the "Rav" name again....I seriously doubt that. Although it would not be a good move for Colin (If he has been offered) I think it's just a foolish tactic from the DeMaria administration, and they are grasping at straws. Was it not them that was always comparing Schnitzer Steel to Wood Waste? They certainly were not helping Colin that way and in NO WAY should that company be compared to Wood Waste. Can you say....."Being Used" |
