| I have been trying to catch up on the blog and I guess I have missed so much going on in this city. Wow a woman running for mayor, that must be so exciting for the city of everett, after reading all the post I will say this, I do know her and her late parents and knowing her parents and their three children she is coming to you from a wonderful family and if she is anything like her dad, she will give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar, I was reading nice is going to cut it, after I read what Carlo did to Frank Ciampi sometimes you need nice or someone who treats people with respect. Respect is what is missing in our CITY and at City Hall, we need to re-gain it back. I am hoping everyone gets to know her and forms no opinion she is very smart when it comes to legal matters and has a great head on her shoulders. And carlost everett love your name. Here is my thought, bring a woman to city hall this year and the city of everett and it's citizens have won hands down, bring carlo back and it will be two more years of woodwaste (thiebault) controlling the city that we all love. |

Coming from a good family and being smart is a wonderful thing BUT, is she qualified to run the city?
I'm not asking because I think Carlo is, or because I'm a supporter of his. I just want to know what she brings to the table other than revenge because she feels her husband was cheated out of the separation incentive? I'm all for dumping Carlo but putting another unqualified person in the corner office isn't necessarily going to help the city.
I’m going to make what I’m sure will be an extremely unpopular statement but, what the heck……………..
I don’t think dumping Carlo and electing someone with no background or experience in municipal government is going to help this city. IMHO, that will only create different issues and problems and the end result will be the same…….. Gross Incompetence in the corner office!
If the majority of our elected officials were in office for reasons other than personal gain, I might feel differently. But, we know we can’t depend on the current members of the Common Council and Board of Alderman to prevent major mistakes from being made. First, they don’t have the authority to override many of the decisions made by the mayor. And second, as we’ve seen on many occasions, most of them were hiding behind the door when the brains were passed out therefore are incapable of making an intelligent choice or decision.

All this screams for Charter Review, but it's not going to work with city employees and politicians and/or their better half's being on the commission.
As for Hal Abrams......buh bye! It was nice not knowing ya.
Complete incompetence..... claiming they did "not know" about the charges. That's something we found out in 5 MINUTES. And they went through the interview and hiring process and DIDN'T KNOW. Of course they knew.......give me a break.

Sad Sad news. Another of our beloved city fathers has passed. Jake Falvey passed away this morning. Wonderful guy, Jake was. He will be sorely missed. What a year, that makes three of the best our city has ever had. Henry Vetrano, Walter Cardello and now Jake. Well, I guess they can commisserate with John Ciol now. Prayers to the family and boy will he be missed.

Thanks for letting us know Cruller. Mr Falvey was a very nice person. I can remember back when he was on the city council. Things were a lot different then. My sympathies to his wife and family.
