I just read the following over on Topix. The person who posted it said he is Michael Vetrano.
People should know the truth: Especially the taxpayers of Everett and the Men and Women of EPD. I have not been meeting secretly with the Mayor and I have not begged to be sworn back in as an officer. As of June 1, 2009 I retired from EPD and that was the end of my career with the police department as an officer. The only other issue I would like to clarify is that when I left the first time I never hung a sign in the station that read F*** You. A commanding officer in the station hung a banner that read "GOOD BYE". Most members of the police department and people that know me know this is the truth. I love Everett and those that know me well know one of my favorits to say is "NEVER FORGET WHERE YOU COME FROM" I had a good career and have every intention of moving on. Thank You and God Bless..

Obviously this former officer does not get along with the chief, so I couldn't see a third return.........but who knows.
In his message he makes it clear that he does not want to be an "officer." Doesn't mean something else might not be in the works. It's a wait and see I guess. |

Or maybe he's in the same situation Joanne Gregory was in........... There were so many complaints about her getting the personnel position Carlo didn't dare?
You have to remember, although he makes a lot of bad moves, his ultimate goal is ALWAYS working toward assuring his re-election! (yes, I know that sounds foolish, but it's the reality) |

That is exactly what I was thinking. I think that post was more like damage control, than anything else.

I just heard Carlo is having a Christmas party tomorrow night @ Anthony's & the tickets were $250.00! Does he have so much money that he doesn't realize how difficult it is to come up with that much money? Especially this time of year?
He needs his head examined!

Another good example why a town manager would work well in Everett. The city is a billion dollar corporation that has been mismanaged by political favors for far too long, and the only people that suffer are the taxpayers.
To even ask that of a business at this time of the year is just greed. People feel obligated and are pushed to their limits. I agree he needs his head examined! |

I read on Topix this fundraiser was poorly attended. They are saying only about 30 people there. Did anyone here go? I find it hard to believe he only got 30 people.

| I heard today that Al Bergonzi has a new job in community development making 47K per year. Is he not the brother in-law of Jason Marcus who just put on the agenda to give the mayor a raise?? He is also Matt Laidlaw's uncle.FAVORS FAVORS FAVORS FAVORS while the taxpayers struggle to get by. Will Rosa defend us now or keep her mouth shut because her husband also got a job as a favor? |

I have been told from a good source, Mr (Wood Waste) Thibeault is allegedly trying to block the development of lower Broadway.
It has something to do with an easement on Dexter Street. I am still in the process of gathering information on this. I will post more when I have a few more of these alleged details.

Mr Paul Lohnes, out of Cambridge, is the major developer for the Lower Broadway site. Mr Lohnes is seeking permission for the right to use Dexter Street to enter his property to begin development. Dexter Street would be more convenient since there is already a traffic light installed there.
Mr Thibeault owns the easement rights to a 20 ft. width on Dexter Street. The City of Boston owns the other 20 ft. width of the street. The City of Boston is willing to work with Mr Lohnes. Mr Thibeault is not. Mr Lohnes is willing to pay for the use of Dexter Street or buy the easement outright.
I have been told, that allegedly Mr Lohnes spoke to Mr Thibeault to try and work something out for Dexter Street. In the course of the conversation, allegedly, Mr Thibeault told Mr Lohnes that he (Mr Thibeault) owns the mayor and controls the City of Everett and his development will never take place.
This developer is willing to sink in a $100 Million down on Lower Broadway and give the City of Everett something we can all be proud of.
In my honest opinion, the Administration and the City Council should do everything in their power to help this developer to achieve his goals. Not only will this development increase our commercial tax base but it has the potential to create many jobs for the residents of Everett. It will also clean up that unsightly mess down there.
Speaking of that mess, it was also brought to my attention that allegedly, Mr Thibeault has been dumping down there for the past 3 years, on property that he never owned. Also, allegedly, he was collecting rent from someone from Revere to store things down there. How do you collect rent on property you don't own? Allegedly, Mr Thibeault did the same thing with the old city yards before he purchased it.
I was also so told, allegedly, the mayor did a walk through with or let Mr Thibeault do a walk through the old High School last November. It looks like Mr Thibeault is interested in purchasing the old EHS, allegedly, through a straw buyer from Somerville.
As I receive more updates on any this I will keep you all posted.
