It's not true. I called a friend from the police. According to her, nothing has happened. |

SOMETHING happened--there were at least 200 people in Glendale Square with all kinds of cops, cars etc and a number of streets were blocked off--High St,Foster St.
I heard someone got stabbed in front of the Derby--like I said I know SOMETHING happened I just don't know what.
Nothing would surprise me though ! |

My brother also confirmed that streets were blocked off and many people were out in the street. Cop cars, fire engines, Channel 7 was in Glendale Sq. Best bet is the early news. |

There was, indeed, a stabbing. I heard the call come in over the scanner at approximately 5 p.m. The dispatcher yelled "stabbing across from Walgreens". Immediately following, the police were chasing a blood trail left by a suspect through yards, etc. and eventually caught the suspect in a home on Foster Street and transported him to the Whidden Hospital because of some kind of injuries. At about 7:30 the Whidden Hospital requested officers because friends of the "victim" had shown up at the hospital. That's all I know. I heard the word stabbing, never heard the word murder used--absolutely nothing about victim over scanner. Hope that helps... |

Wow, that must have been what my neighbors were talking about. Maybe she didn’t hear yet or she meant it wasn’t a “murder”….. my neighbors were pretty adamant that it was a murder.
What ever happened, crime in this city is on a BIG TIME rise and something needs to be done, and done now. It might be time to have every ward involved in a neighborhood watch.
I’m sorry, but elected officials are going to have to step up and start organizing for their wards. Maybe something that is joint with the police department…..Someone has to do something. It may prevent crime in the future or worse, another murder in the city
That’s just a suggestion, but this needs to be made a priority.

they found him inside 11 foster st and he was taken to the hospital for an injury to his hand, we need more cops on the street the chief needs to rethink his 10 hour shifts everett is changing and it is not for the best. Carol you better step in, it's getting scary out there now. |

We don't have dogs?? There should be a least two for an emergency. Look at those 9-11 dogs, they would not stop looking for the victims. Every police department needs them. I think the chief should consider a lot of reorganization, hopefully the mayor would be on board. I cant see why not. |

Maybe that's were they can start looking at reorganization. At least one dog should always be available. Someone from each unit within the police department should always be available or on call. 24/7. Please don't think I'm blaming the police, I'm not, but we are in a new territory with crime (for what ever reason) and changes need to be made. |
