For anybody that didn't catch it, this week's Leader-Herald had a notice that the town meeting has been changed from Tuesday to Wednesday due to a "scheduling conflict". It didn't say what the conflict was but I'd put money on the football game. |

I believe you are right tetris.
Everett plays BC High at Manning Field in Lynn at 745PM on Tuesday night. |

According to the city web site, the community meeting rescheduled for Wednesday has now been postponed; no reason was given.
But from another press release that I read on the city web site, it did conflict with a Boys and Girls Club Introductory Meeting and Pizza Party that is to be held at city hall in the same time frame. Not sure there is a connection but I think it's a possibility. |

Not sure if the word got out properly during Monday's council meeting.....but this meeting has been postponed until January due to scheduling conflicts. |

Tonight's town meeting at the Rec Center? It was supposed to be yesterday and at the CC meeting Bruno mentioned it was tonight.
Same one? |

Yes same one.....about 5 minutes into the meeting, she corrected herself and announced that it had been postponed. |

I have had concerns with Wood Waste, but now I have more concerns. I had planned on attending that public meeting the Mayor postponed and then later canceled saying it would be rescheduled because there are "too many events that conflict this time of year."
I guess one of those events is NBA Basketball because the night the meeting was scheduled to take place, we saw the Mayor on TV sitting in floor seats at the Celtics game. Too many conflicting events, my foot! Oh, and if those weren't your seats Mr. Mayor, let me remind you about the law that says you cannot accept any gifts of favors with a value greater than $50.00.

Tails....just when I was getting comfortable with your right to express your opinion you go ahead and say something stupid again. There were 2 OTHER events last night that would have limited the number of people showing up at a town meeting. The month of December is filled with holiday parties, political fundraisers etc. Postponing until January gives the best opportunity for a larger group to attend.
As far as accepting gifts goes........it's remarks like that that confirm my suspicions....you are definitely an idiot. |

Must you resort to name calling? Can't you make your point without being insulting to other posters? |

I can’t help the way you feel just wondering, but I’m certainty not going to insult people for stating facts. It appears to me that I hit a raw nerve with you.
YOU…..just outted Carlo for the hypocrite he is. That is why that date changed right after Lorrie Bruno announced the “first” postponement.
I can hear it now from the Mayor's office……. “Quick, send someone down to council chambers to change that date again - Billy gave me floor seats for the Celtics, I’m not going to miss the C's for any little town meeting." ….I can hear it now!
The gift accusation was really accusing him of blowing off the town meeting to go the Celtics game. We have him in another blatant lie…… on TV.

Again...making up the story as you go along. The sad part is you haven't done any fact checking at all. You came up with the story on your own and posted it. Even in this slice of cyberspace we call home, it's important to have your facts right. Your latest quote contains 3 lies.....and you didnt even bother checking to see if they were in the same ballpark as acuarate.
When you start checking your fables against fact. I will start being more respectful. Until then, you're an idiot. |

Did the Mayor attend the Celtic's game the other night? If so, was that the same night the "town meeting" was rescheduled for and then rescheduled for sometime in January?
I can remember Hanlon being slammed for going to Fox Woods when he should have been here attending a meeting. Isn't this very similar? |

Its not similar at all if his decision to go to the game was made after the decision to postpone the meeting. |

The former mayor had a planned foxwoods trip and it was Carlo as alderman that stood up over him taking that trip. That trip was in the papers. Wether right or wrong its a double standard. |
