I didn't see the first hour or so of the meeting. Did he get the position? What was the vote and did anyone else run for the vacant seat? |

He did get the seat. I watched and the only other person interested in the position was Lenny Jordan. They both had an opportunity to speak. The differences were dramatic. Jordan barely could put together a sentence while Rodriguez outline his background working at the State House and his education--he just graduated from law school. I think after the speeches the decision was an easy one for any councilors who were undecided. |

I wonder why the Common Council agenda was not posted on the cities web site this week. I heard the $10 Million bond is on that agenda. Could that be the reason? |

I know that the common council all received theirs. I also heard from one that it was followed along with a phone call from the CC President asking what their votes where on the bonding item so they were prepared. From what I gather, he has the votes. I've seen the agenda, so I hope the one that's posted is the same as the one I've seen. |

It certainly is, and unfortunately…just blatantly disregarding the laws seems to be the thing to. Laws are written for a reason and I’m shocked at what goes on at city hall with all the lawyers they have there and being paid so well because they are “so valuable” wearing two hats.
SOMEONE is not advising correctly and should be fired for allowing these actions to continue. Having a “friend” in the ethics commission does not last forever.

The law requires it to be posted three business days prior to the meeting. I do not remember it ever being this late and not posted. The funny part is I KNOW that the common council had theirs delivered. |
