Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, children of all ages, the City of Everett, in conjunction with City Hall, presents the Hanlon Circus.
I don't think three ring circus does this administration justice anymore. People going on "vacation" when in reality they've quit because they can't deal with the incompetence of this administration; people going on stress leave because they had a tiff with someone in the same department; confiscating computers and file cabinets; staff members turning on staff members; people in power positions that have no idea what they're doing and the beat goes on. It's the greatest show on Earth!

Good analogy, McCoy, although it feels more like the saddest show on Earth. I don't think Richard Nixon was as paranoid and as bent on revenge and personal destruction as this Mayor and his minions. In all the many years I've lived in this city, I've never seen anything like it.

Not only were computers confiscated but file cabinets have been also. No one knows why and no one knows who authorized it. I think either Hanlon wants information destroyed or Garron has something to do with it. Jack if it’s you: take 'em to the cleaners! Go Jack Go!
Colleen Leo is in limbo right now. She's quit, she's on vacation, she's quit, she's on vacation etc.
If Colleen has quit, or will in the near future, she's doing herself a huge favor. How can you run an office with all type-A people and no subordinates? Everyone assumes and wants to be the boss in the mayor’s office. Colleen go and find something else........you’re going to have to in two years if you stick with Hanlon. Might as well get a head start.

Not only is it the greatest show on earth, it's the greatest comedy around! Better characters could'nt have been picked for a sitcom! You have Rav, the gold chain weilding kiss @ass, Freddy, the midget with little man syndrome and a mayor who's a puppet and doesn't know he's ONLY the mayor, not a dictator. Too funny! |

Firstly, I want to say I'm glad that John Kryzovic is our city's lawyer. I remember one of the first alderman meetings he appeared at and he said he doesn't offer legal opinions. Then at the alderman meeting about North Everett, he said he doesn’t work with other departments in legal matters. Then tonight he doesn’t know statutes. Wow!
And was it me, or did Johnny Boy look a little tense tonight when asking for 60,000 bucks? Like you said lizbeth Hanlon is becoming more and more Nixon like. I wish the whole board had voted him down but my thanks to Aldermen DiPerri and McGonagle.
Secondly, the city engineer's computer was also taken just in case anyone missed that.
Thirdly, Colleen Leo is no longer in limbo. She took my advice and quit I guess haha. Good for her because she can do better.

what did everyone think about the alderman's meeting? very interesting when the mayor was in front of them asking for 60,000 for a forensic audit of the computers. How intersting is that one? and what about the new police officers that were sworn in to bad they are not from Everett or Everett residents |

You all know that I like to write my own lyrics to old songs to suit the circumstances....but this one was just perfect all by itself.
Sung by 3 Dog Night
(L. Sayer/D. Courtney)
Baby, although I chose this lonely life It seems it's stranglin' me now All the wild men, big cigars, gigantic car They're all laughin' at the lie
Oh, I've been used Ooo-oo-oo-oo I've been a fool Oh, what a fool I broke all the rules Oh, yeah But I must let the show go on
Baby, there's an enormous crowd of people They're all after my blood I wish maybe they'd tear down the walls of this theatre Let me out, let me out
Oh, I'm so blind Oh, I'm blind I wasted time Wasted, wasted, wasted time Walkin' on the wire, high wire But I must let the show go on
Oh, I'm so blind Oh, I'm blind I wasted time Wasted, wasted, all too much time Walkin' on the wire, high wire But I must let the show go on
Baby, I wish you'd help me escape Help me get away Leave me outside my address Far away from this masquerade
'Cause I've been blind Oh, so blind I wasted time Wasted, wasted, all too much time Walkin' on the wire, high wire But I must let the show go.. I must let the show go.. I must let the show go on

I want to thank "The Real McCoy" for seeing the truth. Yes, I did take your advice and resigned. Everything tht's written on this blog is the reason why. I could tell you things that would make your head spin, but that's not my style. I am choosing to go back to the "adult world", if you get my drift. Once again, thanks for the support. I know alot of people will be upset by this but David Rvanesi is getting a bad rap. He is not one of the seven mayors, far from it. He does his job very very well and helps many constituents on a daily basis. He made my position so much easier. There are not seven mayors, only one, Janice Vetrano (Budget Directors supposedly) wanna be mayor and he's letting her do it. She is the one that needs to be audited. Oh yeah, Mike Marchese got a raw deal too because of the "Big ole budget lady wanna be mayor" and Valerie Fulchini (aka FRUITCAKE), so called office manager. My advice to her is to go the Community Technology Center in the basement at city hall to learn how to type and use a computer. See y'all back in the adult world. |

Oh yeah, if you're wondering why I am writing this so late, it's because I can't sleep because I have two children in college and that weighs heavily on my mind. Two tuitions $59,000 for tuition, think you'd be able to sleep if you were in my shoes? |

Oh yeah, one more thing. Jack Garron I am pleaed to announce has alot of support in this community. However, behind every great man there is a great woman. In all my years I have never seen a harder worker than Diane Liburdi. She amazes me and anyone would and should be proud to have her work for them. I am only writing this not to put people down (like many or you do). Private lives should be kept at that. Look up the definition of private in the dictionary. Nowhere does it say people's private lives affect their work ethic. By the way David Ragucci is bieng REALLY SMART staying low, But just like me there's no reason to rear your ugly head, just sit back and watch the three ring circus. This was very cathartic for me, now I think I can go to sleep and not think about my children's tuition totalling over $59.000. Know what the other best part is, I'm going to the beach because I don't have a job through no fault of my own. I am completely done with politics. Sayonara............ |

Forgot one thing. Meant to mention it before. What a shame about Al Borgonzi. I really liked working with him. He immediately took action when I asked and followed up with a phone call or emai. Total professional. What are they thinking? They should not be trying to blame the previous administration, they should concentrate on running the city, PERIOD. Maybe because of their own foibles they are tying to cover up. Like I said before, I am only writing to tell you of the good things and good people at City Hall. Chief Butler and Chief Mazzie are remarkable individuals as well. Joanne Graziosi speaks for herself. GOING TO THE BEACH |

Breck77 - you're a smart woman with excellent credentials and experience - you won't be unemployed for long. It's the Hanlon administration's loss, as far as I'm concerned. Most of us are well acquainted with the three-ring circus, and the above mentioned clowns, including the machiavellian budget director and office manager. These are the people that the Hanlon Administration is surrounding themselves with, and it's too bad. I think a lot of people had high hopes, but with running on a hiring freeze and hiring all those people, along with the raises, etc. And firing Mr. Garron, who was following the rules by putting the trash contract out to bid? Well - evidently, honesty is a relative term for this administration.
Good luck and God bless with everything, Breck77. I hope it all works out for you. Regarding the kids tuition - there's always state schools. Your kids may not want to hear that, but it's a reality for working people. Remember, after their first job, it doesn't matter where they went to school. |

I hear that. I went to undergrad at the lowest cost school I could find. I parlayed that into free graduate school at Boston University. Undergrad really means very little, it all about what you do to gain practical experience. If you don't go to grad school do an internship. Especially at the beginning the undergrad schools are very similar.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I had two tuition bills totally $59,000.00, I wouldn't be pounding the sand at the beach, I would be pounding the pavement looking for a job. I guess that's because I don't live in the "adult world." |

Oh, no one special - give the poor woman a break. After serving this administration, she probably has post-traumatic stress disorder. Go to the beach, Breck77. :) And then come out swinging. Living well is always the best revenge. What comes around...always goes around.... |
