Yes, the front of my house is not very well cleared either. We have a ton of salt down and it is helping. The water run off froze the whole sidewalk. I at least made a path to the street. I just cannot believe the schools are in such bad shape. I was scared for the kids who were walking. And the crossing guard at Shute and Edith Street was not there today. A kid is going to get hurt.

To be honest, Sally, with the kids being on school vacation next week, it would've made more sense to cancel school again today, especially if they knew that the sidewalks were impassable.

There was no cop also at the top of Broadway/Hancock either this morning. On one of the most dangerous days to cross/walk....unexceptable!
I recall same thing last year also about sidewalks not clear on Broadway (until days later). I believe that they should at least clear to the curbs in front of the school for the safety of our children. They shouldn't be sliding over snowbanks/icebanks, it's ridiculous.
Riding up Broadway late morning today, I saw one of those sidewalk plows.......a little too late, suppose to use those on days it actually snows.

Mr Sheehan this is (hopefully) your last chance this winter to prove all of us wrong about your abilities to clean the city up and make it safe. |

Now if they only get out and plow early enough, we should be okay. |

I just drove by a sander on the street in front of the Keverian School. He was sanding and salting because it hit my car.

I just got in. The roads are a mess. Snow is being packed by the cars & it's going to freeze.
If I didn't know better, I'd say Sheehan grew up in the south and never saw snow before which is the reason he doesn't know how to fight it. Since I know he grew up here, I'm going with................. he's an arrogant idiot who's in a job that's way beyond his ability.
