I saw the pictures of some party in the paper and that Tom Coots guy was in them. Didn't his family run him out of town. The guy is a piece of work.

I was thinking the same thing. Is he affiliated with any church? He must still be the chaplin of the Fire Department. |

I love the idea that we hold elected officials accountable on their finances. So many of those that vote on our taxes, do not even own property, it is a joke. Add to that the amount of elected officials with, all due respect but it needs to be said, meaningless, menial, and mindless jobs, without degrees, how do we presume they even should be making these decisions?
Let us face it, this city is intellectually bankrupt. No disrespect to those hardworking blue collared workers, but they have no business presuming the intelligence and track record of one that is capable of making these decisions. All because they won a popularity contest (in Everett they are officially called “elections”) or because those intellectually gifted, or proven and successful business people can’t be bothered to run, we get stuck with jack-asses.
The house is on the market – I can’t wait to go.

I really don't know what most of them do for a living, but I do know that Mr Van Campen is an attorney, Mr Smith has had a successful fence company owns the Prescott Hotel and is a State Rep., Mr McGonagle has owned and operated a successful construction company for many years, Mr DiMaria owns and operates a major chain franchise. |

Coots was booted out of the Lighthouse Church due to a family matter. I believe he is the Fire Dept. Chaplin and Bishop Brown is the Police Dept. Chaplin |

A family problem is putting it mildly. His story could be on any soap opera. He is a disgrace and should not be any part of this community. His own family feels the same way!

I don't think that's fair, Sally. His issues are family issues, and not unlike those suffered by many families. He no longer has his church or his family; do you really think it necessary for the community to shun him over something that is a private family matter? |

I have no idea what this person did or did not do and I really don't care. If it is a family issue than leave it alone. |

I think a pastor who acts like that man did does not belong at city functions. His lack of morals and values are not something we should be encoraging.

Where have I been? When did this all take place? Last I had heard about him was that he was ill. |

Sally, his family and his church have already judged him for whatever happened . . . that should be sufficient. There are two sides to everything, and none of us in perfect in our behavior. It sounds like you've only "heard" one side of it. Everyone has a right to get on with their lives . . . "judge not lest ye be judged." |
