From The Mirror

"I don't think Ragucci will run, I heard Smith would since he's not running for alderman again."

The Mirror seems to have the right idea.

If Smith runs, he WILL WIN a place on the School Committee.

He's a State Rep, who would vote against him?

Just the F-cubed supporters.

Would he run At Large or for Ward 3? I would like to see him run for At Large, then at least either Alconada, Baniewicz or McLaughlin would be gone. Is Parker a rubber stamp, too? You don't hear much about him.

Fred can't fix the schools but we might as well have him fix our houses. So where do I sign up to have the EPS guys come over to my house and fix it up for no cost? I need an addition, new front porch, new lawn, expanded driveway, air conditioning, a new kitchen and all new furniture. Does this mean we can fill our cars up at the city pumps?

As far as who is running where i havent heard too many rumors but it is still very early. However, i am very interested in that Ragucci for School Committee rumor, although i did not support him in his last three mayoral campaigns(01,03,05)i would absolutely give David a vote if he ran for School Committee. Rumor also has it that Matewsky is going to run for both the Alderman at large seat and the Common Council seat. Dont do it Wayne we do not need another circus like we had two years ago. Let me also be the first to ask Cynthia Sarnie to pull papers for the Alderman Ward 6 seat because that is a seat she can and will win. GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!! PAUL D. DOBBINS.

Dave would not get my vote for school committee. It may just be retaliation for some things that went on this year.

I wouldn't care what anyone's motivation was for running for School Committee, as long as they were willing to stand up against the machine when necessary -- and Ragucci would certainly be willing to do that. But . . . I don't think he'll run. He has his hands full in Stoneham, and with all of the nonsense going on with the audit and the doubt that has created in people's minds on both sides of the aisle -- why would he want the aggravation.

I agree with you Citizen. I don't know where this rumor started, but I find it hard to believe David would have any interest in running for ANY position in this city. He certainly doesn't need the aggravation and unlike some people, he's not about to waste his time, or energy, going on a witch hunt.

From The Mirror

"The so called local papers have been notified of a certain to-be candidate's intentions on pulling papers today."

I don't know who they are referring to but, I know tomorrow there will be a few eyebrows raised. Just a formality that needs to be addressed before this person pulls the papers.

I think it is going to be "Stat" pulling his papers for School Committee, but that is just a guess.

I hope he does!!! I wish many people would pull papers for school committee. People who are concerned with OUR kids and not their wives and daughters and friends.

I also heard that someone by the name of Brian Moran is taking out papers for School Committee. You hear so many rumors, you don't know which are true or not.

The last listing in the newspaper didn't have anyone having yet pulled papers for Ward 5. How sad is this? Of course, I shouldn't criticize, because I don't want to do it, either, and for many of the reasons, I'm sure, that others have decided. It's just seems like too much to overcome, even if you get elected. It's such an entrenched power structure . . .
