That is exactly the reason why I would like to see Smith, Ragucci and a few more like them run for School Committee. Stacking that board against FFF, is the only way to sort out that mess down on Vine Street.

I wish I had the time to run, but my family commitments do not allow me to put the time in to it that is needed.

Do we have any additions to the list of those who pulled papers?

Good move, Lynda.

I did have a person running for the Council stop by mt house today for signatures. I don't know him but he seemed very nice. Ken Gianelli, running for Council in Ward 1.

Thanks, MassDee. I've been tied up at work, but have been following our situation in the city closely. Thanks for keeping me so well informed!

I just read this on the Mirror,

I think it sums up our situation at City Hall very well.

I can understand you supporting your candidate, but you also have to be realistic. Mayor Hanlon and his Administration is flawed. It is so easy for you to see the Ragucci Administrations missteps, but no matter what Mayor Hanlon does, you defend him. Mayor Hanlon has made a great number of mistakes since he took office in January 2006. His presentation at the first Joint Convention should have been handled much differently. He had to know, people were going to scrutinize the audit and his presentation. He has misspoke several times and appears he has lied to all of us. You know what his inconsistencies are, I don't have to rehash them again. Then you have the second Joint Convention, that certainly wasn't one of his shiniest moments. He would say one thing and Melanson and Heath would contradict him. He came off as fumbling through the questions from the Council. Some of these Council members have been his staunchest supporters. That should tell you something.

Next, we have this letter from the IG's Office. He has had this letter since last December and has done absolutely nothing about it. There is clearly corruption on the part of the Supt., corruption is corruption. He thinks there was corruption in the Ragucci Administration, which has not been proven, yet, and publicly embarrassed families and businesses. He knows there is corruption on the Supt. side and does nothing. He does not even let the residents know that these allegations are out there from the Inspector Generals Office. This whole charade comes off as a political vendetta on the Mayors side. There is no place for politics in these issues that are so serious facing our City right now. I cannot see how Mayor Hanlon can redeem himself after all that has gone down in the past few weeks. I feel the time has come for Mayor Hanlon to retire and before he does, Mayor Hanlon should terminate his advisers. His advisers have certainly sent him down the wrong road. These are some of the reason I can no longer support Mayor Hanlon.

I haven't heard of anyone else, but that doesn't mean anything, there could be more and the papers haven't printed it yet.

Having Stat on the School Committee would certainly make for some interesting meetings, but he can't do it alone and our options are looking pretty slim right now.

Has anyone else pulled papers to run against McGonagle?

Hanlon, McGonagle, Keane and Dannenberg are the only ones I have heard.

It looks like Joe can win this without even trying! He certainly doesn't have any competition.
