Maybe . . . but since they waive the reading of the calendar items most of the time, there'd probably be a loud objection to taking the time to read the attendance from each committee meeting report.

I was just looking at the agenda again. Did you notice at the bottom where they list the upcoming meetings listed are 3 "tentative" Joint Conventions, 4/23, 4/30 and 5/7. Why are 4/23 and 4/30 tentative? Isn't that the dates concerning the audit?

massdee; I like your idea of reading meeting attendance at the televised meetings. I think the voters of this city would be very surprised at the number of councillors and alderman that rarely participate in anything other than the Monday night meetings.

It even has the potential of making people THINK before they vote for their friend, old school chum, or cousin! Now that would be a real change.........

I hope the Common Council thinks twice tomorrow night about item # 5 on the Agenda. There has obviously been some kind of cover-up of the IG letter to Robert Alconada and I think others on the School Committee surly must have known about this letter.

I just arrived home and caught the last minute of Leo McKinnon speaking about a letter. What was he talking about? Sounds like it might have been interesting.

Lorrie Bruno had gotten up on a point of personal privilege just prior to that defending herself against the attack she was subjected to at the meeting two weeks ago over that anonymous letter that McKinnon insisted on having read . . . so McKinnon was putting his two cents in about it, claiming he did the right thing, blah, blah, blah, and also now claiming that the letter is being investigated to determine who wrote it. Hell, the Mayor knows who wrote it. He said so in the paper last week. Maybe Leo should just have coffee with him again and ask him!

Leo was also very upset about what Mitchell said about him in the paper last week. I didn't see the paper, so I don't know what was said.

After that, I had to turn off the television because, well . . . I'm not that much of a masochist.

Ohhh . . . what's Faia talking about? Is this the school committee salary issue?

Honestly, I just can't watch it. I'd rather clean the lint filter in my washing machine than watch some of these people. So I am depending on you, my message board friends, to post the juicy tidbits

he read a prepared statement in favor of paying the School Committee. It really sounded like something Freddy would have wrote. Lorrie Bruno was the only one to vote against paying the Sch. Com.

Hickey is pis*ed. Matewsky just spoke against Hickey's piece to stop waste from coming through Everett.

Well, doesn't that sound just like Wayne.

Have they taken the piece yet about pledging not to run for more than one office? That should send Matewsky right off the cliff . . .

I may have to break down and tune in!

I have stopped watching the meeting, I am addicted to American Idol. I will catch what I miss at 11:00PM.
