I just feel what's right, is right. I am not for Hanlon as Court keeps insisting that I am. I am undecided and looking for information. I am disappointed with the current administration and I take my voting very seriously because when I support someone, I will work hard for them and it will be one of three Joe, Carlo or Jim. I’m not thrilled about it but if who ever gets in, it’s only two years and she seems to have a vendetta and needs to calm down.

I was following that post, I think, until I read the last sentence.

Tails . . . your previous posts belie your claim that you're not a Hanlon supporter. For instance, the following post of yours could certainly lead us to believe that you're in the Hanlon camp. As I said -- you're entitled to support whomever you want, but your posts indicate that you're anything but neutral:

"YOU are the ones that chose to ignore
what was going on in City Hall for the past 8 years. Of course the Mayor knew what he was getting into and he knew this would happen but he could not sit back any longer and watch our tax dollars go into people’s pockets. Go ahead, go backwards or put someone in there that is so incompetent that he can’t even read from a law book right. Budgets go up every year. That’s a known fact. Were not even near $4000.00 from a proposition 2½ like we were with the former administration and no one freaked out like this."

I believe he thinks he can post the same stuff here as he does on the mirror and no one is going to call him on it. Does he really think that most of us don't read both message boards? Many times it is very easy to pick up on some certain styles of writing. This site is really not pro anyone, but it is certainly anti hanlon.

Tails - based on your statement above - "Go ahead, go backwards or put someone in there that is so incompetent that he can’t even read from a law book right." It appears to me and many others that we already did and wow, do we regret it!

So, who is meeting tomorrow night, CC or BOA? Do you think they will do any more cuts or do you think they have cut as far as they are going to?

Tomorrow night, I believe, is the common council. I think the original plan was to approve the cuts made by the BOA, but after the discovery last Friday that the bill for the pension fund had been paid and the confusion about whether the recommended cut of $417,000 was taken into consideration, who knows where it will go now.

Tails - you know what? Given that the other members have already caught you at your own game...I don't even feel the need to respond. You shouldn't "play" the folks on the board, 'cause they already got your number.

I just read this on The Mirror, I'm so confused, which branch "is" meeting tomorrow night?

"Monday night is a meeting of the Board of Alderman to pass the 1/12 budget. Tuesday night is a meeting of the Common Council to go back and make line item by line item cuts. Wednesday night is a meeting of the Board of Alderman to also go back and make line item by line item cuts. Thursday night the two bodies give a total budget to the Mayor so that the Mayor can give it to the D.O.R. on Friday which is the last day to deal with the budget which is July 14. Good luck to everyone involved this week."

It's going to be a very long week! It would probably be better if both groups hashed the cuts out together on Tuesday. Then the CC could meet first on Wednesday to "rubber stamp" the cuts and the BOA immediately after. If those two bodies aren't in agreement, and can't conclude this with BOA approval on Wednesday, we're all going down because hanlon's budget wins by default. That's why he's been screwing around so much not being prepared or requiring the appropriate department heads to attend the meetings. He's been stalling so he can win. Which, of course, means we lose........... again!

I'm too old to be wishing my life away, but in this case, it's worth it.......... I wish it was January. I can't wait to see that poor excuse for a mayor clean out his office! September will be good too but I want him gone and that can't happen in September.
