I just finished watching the tape from last Friday's meeting. What in the hell is "Tails" talking about? Councilwoman Bruno never said a word. Not only did he have the wrong ward, I think he was talking about a different person altogether.

Lynda, welcome back. Hope you had a great vacation. We leave on Saturday for a couple of weeks.

Louie . . . your tax bill is lower because it's a "preliminary" tax bill -- or did you not notice that the house assessment and tax rate were missing? The mayor himself has said that taxes are going up.

I will agree with you that the city council shpuld have made the cuts from the beginning instead of depending on the mayor to recommend the cuts, but the fact of the matter is that the mayor submitted a budget that was bloated and irresponsible and was putting the onus on the city government to be the "bad guy" instead of stepping up and presenting a responsible budget in the first place. The budget begins with the mayor . . . and it was crippled coming out of the gate.

I suppose there wasn't really another option available.

The CC is up tomorrow night on the budget. I hope the pension fund payment doesn't throw them too far off balance. They need to stay focused on getting the job done and not waste time complaining about what's already done.

CCLou/Tails - member of the administration: NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF THIS CITY HAS A MAYOR DELIVERED A BUDGET OVER THE TAX LEVY. It was reckless and irresponsible and it's clear that the mayor didn't have the cajones to do his own dirty work and lay off all those people he hired. After the mayor PROMISED NO NEW HIRES, TAX RATE STABILITY, AND ALL THE REST - you come out here and try to blame the city council? You have to be g-d kidding me. CCLOU, you little payroll patiot, you should be ashamed of yourself for carrying the mayor's message out to this board. NEVER in my LIFE have I seen anything like this. The shame, CCLOU, is that we have an incompetent mayor, and he is surrounded by syncophants who only tell him what he wants to hear. Even the DOR had to tell him he was WRONG, and that he had to deliver a month's budget.

Keanu, when is your group going to get over Ragucci? And you keep talking about these alleged old bills, but whenever you're asked to specify the bills in question, there's deafening silence.

And the fact remains that a budget has never been presented that exceeded the levy limit. If you think it has, please let us know the soecific year that it happened. This seems to me something that the mayor pulled out of the air the other night when he felt backed into a corner about his bloated budget.

Wasn't out Mayor the former City Clerk, for years? How is it he is claims to "not know" things? The meetings, when he is questioned, have become comical to say the least.

Keanu, Why is it you've been telling us how bad Ragucci was yet it's now okay for hanlon to do the same thing and it's okay? Pick one. Either Ragucci was right, or Hanlon is wrong. You can't have it both ways!

I too would like more information on these unpaid bills you keep talking about. And while you're working your way through that, why don't you explain to us exactly what ravanesi does for this city to earn his paycheck? Please note......... I said for the city, not the idiot in the corner office.

Last night they passed the budget for the month of July. I believe the CC is meeting to night to address the full budget and the BOA is meeting tomorrow night.

Things don't seem to be going too well tonight. There is a lot of confusion and a lot of disagreement with the BOA's cuts. I hope that there is a plan going forward. They can't keep this up or we're going to get stuck with the mayor's budget.

It seems to me the ladies are willing to make the cuts and the gentlemen are willing to make the taxpayers pay through the nose, again. I'm disgusted.

I hope Wayne is not elected Alderman at Large. He seems to be doing the Mayors bidding.

The council president is doing a good job of maintaining control.

Faia isn't helping the taxpayer either.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a viable candidate running for that seat. Is anyone besides Wayne even running?
