Solid, Sally - and of the rest....let's just say I've noted the ambiguity about the "story," the location, not to mention the lack of bars on Chelsea Street.....and let's just say I don't find any of it compelling, particularly given the lack of evidence on the person himself. I was criticized quite harshly by Sally, Solid, for deleting some crap by Taylor about this....and she was posting the location and the injuries. After seeing Mr. McGonagle with my own two eyes, I knew that this was bologna and posted it. Now we have someone posting that her uncle saw the fight, the location is a "bar on Chelsea Street" - except that....is there even a bar on Chelsea Street? While I'm not exactly a bar-crawler...and one can usually throw a rock from anywhere in Everett and hit a bar...I do know the Pub's closed....that restaurant on the end closed...so - which bar? Shall we just give Sally, who called me a hypocrite, a pass or what? |

Actually, there is a bar on Chelsea Street. The old Pub location is open under a different name. I believe it's primarily frequented by Brazilians. |

Yeah - and I can picture Sally's uncle and McGonagle in there. It's just not making any sense - none of it. |

Neither does your story about diverticulitis. I do n ot care if you think I am making it up, I am not. There is a bar on Chelsea Street, it oculd have been on Ferry Street. The fact is my husband is not involved in politics in anyway. He could care less about any of this. He did not even know Mc Gonagle's name. His Uncle mentioned the fight and said it was the guy running for Mayor. Iwould never resort to lies, if I was goign to do that wouldn;t I have done it before the election?

The old Pub is now Zekes owned by an Everett family. They used to own the Norwood Cafe. The rumor I heard was it was at the Derby so that's what it is, a rumor. A spiteful, bold rumor. Can we please put this crap to rest and go back to the somewhat friendly bantering we enjoyed especially before the primary. |

No, it is not a rumor. The rumor is that he had diverticulitis.

Sally, why can't you let this go? There have been so many holes shot in your story it's starting to take on water. Joe was defeated; why must you continue to beat a dead horse? |

There's nothing to get over, Sally, because I don't believe it happened. It sounds like you're the one hell bent on this subject.
Okay . . . my apologies, because I said I was done discussing this . . . and now I am. |

You do not have to believe it. I believe it because I actually know people who were there. And diverticulitis is a tough thing to get over in an emergency room. Just an FYI. Some people end up on morphine and admittted to the hospital.

Where my husband was? It was his Uncle, my husband was at work. You all resort to the same things when you are wrong.

I've posted a few times here and it just amazes me the crap-slinging and the egging-on. The election is done, over, let it rest!! There are more important things going on in this world instead of "he saw, he did". Get a grip people!! I've been out of Everett for 10 yrs now. I grew up in the Village the first ten years of my life. Then lived up by the high school until I moved out at 27. I have no "right" to speak about who should be your city's mayor, I don't live there anymore. But whether it was Joe who won or Carlo (who did) give him a chance, and let this city try to heal itself. Thank you for the time you've taken to read my post. Try to have a good day!
