"If" is the operative word here. "If" it is in the paper and "if" it is true. Why not wait and see if it's in the paper before discussing it? Although I don't see any reason to discuss it at all. Are we going to discuss every name that's printed in the police blotter every week? What relevance does it have to the current political situation in the city -- which is generally the topic of conversations on this board?

And the legal age for someone to be in the police blotter is 17. You are considered an adult. Remember the whole group of high school kids who were arrested at a party on High Street back months ago. All the 17 year olds names were printed.

I never mentioned that it was an underaged kid. JustMe asked if it was a young female. Lynda you might get some info from your kids.

Perhaps it wasn't an arrest after all, Sally? I have had a family member "picked up" and not actually arrested. It happens, and it doesn't necessarily mean favoritism or anything nefarious.

Minor's acting like minor's. This subject need not be discussed. Unless someone's kid did end up in the paper and someone else's didn't, then that's a discussion of why?
